Primary Purpose:
Work with the Principal to coordinate and administer the various programs of the school within the framework of the philosophy, goals, and policy established by the Board, within the status and standards of regulatory agencies, and in accordance with administrative regulations.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s Degree in educational administration
Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, Instructional Leadership Training (ILT), or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD)
Certified T-TESS appraiser
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proven leadership skills
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Minimum of three years successful classroom experience
Minimum one year assistant principal experience required, preferably at the high school level
Minimum of two years’ experience in instructional support/leadership roles preferred
