Primary Purpose:
To assist the Principal & Assistant Superintendent of School Support in the improvement of student achievement through curriculum, instruction, assessment, instructional coaching, and professional development/collaboration; to assist teachers, staff and stakeholders in the development of teacher resources, creation of district K-12 curriculum, implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies, promotion of current best practices in instruction, coordinate the assessment of student achievement; and to facilitate high quality district and campus-level professional development.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Valid Texas teacher certification
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters in progress or completed preferred)
- ESL certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Relevant educational studies through a combination of professional development/college hours
- Knowledge of state and local curriculum, state assessment, assessment, instructional coaching, instructional design, and instructional technology.
- Specialized training in special programs and at-risk student populations.
Experience:
- Five years successful classroom experience
