Primary Purpose: Prepare appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Texas Department of State Health Services-Food Handler Certification required or must obtain within 60 days of employment.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to work at a fast pace for duration of shift Basic arithmetic (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.) Ability to walk distances, capable of stooping, kneeling, sitting, bending and able to stand for length of shift Ability to work well under high pressure, good vision and hearing, clear speech, manual dexterity, and cleanliness Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as, but not limited to, electric mixers, slicers, grinders, ovens, stove tops, tilt-skillets, tilt kettles, warmers, Ability to lift 30 lbs.; pantry, freezer, cooler and chemical items. Must be able to lift up to any and all items in the kitchen used for production in preparing, cooking, serving, cleaning Ability to work in a varied environment with extreme temperature changes (Hot/Cold/Freezing) Ability to tolerate dust, adept at working with and around mechanical equipment Pleasant demeanor; ability to work with staff, adults and children at all times during your shift Ability to work well with and around others Ability to work in a team environment Ability to understand, read, write and communicate in English
