Primary Purpose: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the career and technology subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
A stipend is also attached to this position.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or high school diploma/GED and equivalent wage-earning experience as required by certification Valid Texas career and technology teaching certificate with required endorsements and training for subject and level assigned Demonstrated competency in the career and technology subject area assigned
Must possess ASE Technician Certification or equivalent
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of career and technology subject assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Ability to supervise student field experiences in career area assigned Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience: At least one-year student teaching experience or approved internship At least three to five years of wage-earning experience in the area of certification |
