Primary Purpose:
To assist the Principal & Assistant Superintendent of School Support in the improvement of student achievement through curriculum, instruction, assessment, intervention, instructional coaching, and professional development/collaboration; to assist teachers, staff and stakeholders in the development of teacher resources, creation of district K-12 curriculum, implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies, promotion of current best practices in instruction, coordinate the assessment of student achievement, to assist in intervention with students, to aid in organizing campus interventions with classroom teachers; and to facilitate high quality district and campus-level professional development.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Texas teacher certification (Social Studies or Science preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (Masters degree in progress or completed preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Relevant educational studies through a combination of professional development/college hours
- Knowledge of state curriculum, state assessment, assessment, instructional coaching, instructional design, and instructional technology
Experience:
- Minimum three years successful classroom teaching experience required (social studies or science experience preferred)
- Experience in instructional leadership/support role preferred
