PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide leadership for the overall implementation of the Texas Reading Academy. Support each elementary campus with Texas Reading Academy learning and compliance while supporting the overall Hutto ISD elementary literacy programming. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Organize and lead Hutto ISD Reading Academy Cohorts, including all professional development, coaching, support, and record keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Master's Degree Preferred) Valid Texas teaching certificate Passed Cohort Leader Screener Window provided by TEA (Applicants should already have passed or be in the process of completing the screener.)
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Thorough knowledge of curriculum and instruction Knowledge of teacher and leadership development Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to identify needed training and coordinate staff development Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED):
Minimum of three years of teaching experience Instructional coaching experience Completed Texas Reading Academy Delivery of professional development at both teacher and administrative levels Working knowledge of curriculum development and evaluation
This position is a 197 day contract.
